He who makes his bed let him lie on it, this is exactly what happened to a robber cum rapist who operates along the Limpopo River.
The 20 year old notorious robber was yesterday jailed 20 years for robbing border jumper in a bushy area along the Limpopo River last year.
Nkosiyazi Ndlovu 2518 Dulibadzimu suburb in Beitbridge had initially pleaded not guilty to the charges to the charges, but Mr. Owen Tagu convicted him on the strength of overwhelming evidence provided by the state.
It is the state case that on the 28Th of September last year at around 10 am , the complainant was illegally travelling to South Africa through a bush path after having sneaked near the that country’s Foot and Mouth control centre.
While making her way in the footpath, she came across Ndlovu who was in the company of three other men who emerged from the bushes.
One of them then ordered her to stop. Ndlovu then grabbed the victim by hand and withdrew a knife from his pocket. He then dragged her to a secluded area in the bush where he raped her once.
After-which he ordered her to runaway and continue with her journey to South Africa. She reportedly complied and later informed a house mate upon her arrival from South Africa.
A report was then made to police leading to Ndlovu’s subsequent arrest on 20 December after she positively identified him at the Beitbridge border post. Mr. Johannes Tlou prosecuted.
